Sheep herding is an unusual and fun team experience / activity
Prepare to be; thrilled, surprised, excited, exhilarated and laugh your socks off!
This is a perfect activity on its own or to incorporate with other activities you may have in mind, which we are happy to discuss with you.
Soak up country life and the countryside with this unique, mesmerising activity. A hands on experience working with man’s best friend midst the most wonderful countryside in Leicestershire.
Everyone loves the Border Collie which has many wonderful and natural attributes for working with sheep. Even before any training takes place the Collie is gifted with raw but natural abilities for speed, diligence, guile, and tenacity. There are many situations where the Collie’s natural reactions will not only be correct but quicker than any command you can deliver.
Having had over 20 years experience not only as a dog trainer, working with a variety of dog breeds but also specialising in training and working Border Collies and having competed in our first trial in North Wales in 1992. We compete regularly at the English Nationals and have represented England at International level. Our dogs continue to achieve success and our aim is to help others achieve the same. We provide a controlled and methodical sheepdog training experience and it won't be long before you are bitten by the sheepdog bug and become addicted. We are experienced at problem solving, having learnt the hard way through perseverance with difficult dogs.
Not only will you experience the thrill of working with livestock at close hand but you will discover and learn the power of silence, confidence and calmness. Whether you are a lover of dogs, the countryside or wish to engage in team building we can cater for all your needs. You will work with both our fully trained and young dogs. Learn to multi task whilst being mobile and understand how three species (sheep, dog and man), each with a mistrust of one another can come together and work in harmony.
